RoboStorm 9
We will be hosting two qualifiers this upcoming January FTC's CENTERSTAGE!
Robostorm 9.1 - Saturday, January 6th
Robostorm 9.2 - Postponed to Saturday, February 10th
We will also be hosting the Massachusetts State Championships on March 9th, 2023 at Andover High School!
Key Roles Needed
Judges (12 each day)
Full day participation, but extremely interesting and important. Training documents online.
Referees (5 each day)
You could do ½ a day. Training documents online.
Matches run from 10am to 5pm
Inspectors (4 each day)
7 - 10am
Registration (4 each day)
7 - 10am
And an assortment of Crowd Control, Pit Management, Queuing, and Concession roles that do not require full day commitment!

NEW Adult Volunteer Information
Step 1: Please register for an account through the FIRST website. If you are affiliated with an ARC team, please enter the team number:
4410 - ARC Lightning
5273 - ARC Thunder
10331 - ARC Hailstorm
24256 - ARC Sandstorm
Step 2: In your dashboard, go to Volunteer Registration and select Event Registration to find RoboStorm 9.1 and 9.2. On the left sidebar you can filter the events by selecting FIRST Tech Challenge. Click on “VIEW EVENT DETAILS” and pick the dates and times you are available. Select “Assign Me As Needed” or select roles from the menu. Find the volunteer role descriptions here. Certain roles require training and certification, which may take a few days. Please sign up as soon as possible.
Step 3: In the meantime, submit your Youth Protection background screening at Sterling Volunteers. This process takes a few days. Mrs. Reidy can only assign volunteers when they have passed the Youth Protection check and FIRST requires ALL volunteers to complete their background screening through Sterling Volunteers prior to participation, so please complete this as soon as possible.
Step 4: Mrs. Reidy will assign volunteers to their signed up role(s) and volunteers will receive email confirmation.
Step 5: Once Mrs. Reidy confirms your assigned role, please complete the training and certification through FIRST if your role requires it.
RETURNING Adult Volunteer Information

Step 2: View your profile on FIRST to confirm that the screening has not yet expired. If it has expired, please complete the screening again at Sterling Volunteers.

Step 4: Once Mrs. Reidy confirms your assigned role, please complete the training and certification through FIRST if your role requires it.
